South Dakota Springs are equal parts beautiful and frustrating.
One moment, we are experiencing wind gusts that take our breath away and by the afternoon, there can be sleet expected.
But then, there are these kinds of moments–the sun shines bright. Books about planting seeds and boots and gloves and rakes are all brought out to the garden and we get a glimpse of what is to come this summer:
We get this beautiful morning of afternoon of sunshine, promise and the fun kind of work it takes to plan and put a garden together.
We allow ourselves to imagine rabbits attacking the tomatoes and we plan ahead:
We grab out boots and put them on for another season: bedazzled or not.
And we breathe it in, when we can, this smell of spring arriving at our doorstep.
